Our intensive driving courses are designed for learners who want focused driving tuition over a shorter period of time to help prepare for their practical driving test.
Due to current driving test booking regulations, learners must already have a practical driving test booked before enrolling onto one of our intensive driving courses.
Your intensive course will usually begin approximately 2 weeks before your practical driving test date, allowing time to build confidence, improve driving skills, and prepare fully for test day.
Whether you need a smaller confidence boost before your test or more structured training, we offer intensive course options to suit different experience levels.
How Our Intensive Courses Work
Every intensive course begins with an:
Initial Assessment Lesson (First 2 Hours)
Your course starts with a professional 2-hour Initial Assessment Lesson.
This session allows your instructor to:
• Assess your current driving ability
• Confirm your selected intensive course is suitable
• Identify strengths and development areas
• Build a personalised lesson plan leading up to your driving test
Following your assessment, the remaining lessons will be arranged directly with your instructor.

10 Hour Intensive Course — £520
Includes:
• 8 Hours Driving Tuition
• 1 Hour Lesson Immediately Before Your Practical Test
• Practical Test Vehicle Hire
20 Hour Intensive Course — £940
Includes:
• 18 Hours Driving Tuition
• 1 Hour Lesson Immediately Before Your Practical Test
• Practical Test Vehicle Hire
30 Hour Intensive Course — £1,360
Includes:
• 28 Hours Driving Tuition
• 1 Hour Lesson Immediately Before Your Practical Test
• Practical Test Vehicle Hire
40 Hour Intensive Course — £1,780
Includes:
• 38 Hours Driving Tuition
• 1 Hour Lesson Immediately Before Your Practical Test
• Practical Test Vehicle Hire
Practical Driving Test Requirement
Learners must already have a practical driving test booked before securing an intensive course.
Jan Driving Academy cannot arrange practical driving tests on behalf of students.
Once your practical test is booked, our team can discuss course availability and suitability.
Deposit & Payment Information
A 20% deposit is required to secure your intensive course booking.
The remaining balance becomes payable following successful completion of your Initial Assessment Lesson.
Cancellation Policy
Intensive courses can be cancelled up to 14 days before the course start date for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the course start date may not be eligible for a refund.
This is because instructors reserve dedicated availability specifically for intensive course students and may block significant teaching hours to deliver the course.
Any refunds after this period remain at instructor discretion.
